The sale began with the Ceramics section, the highlights including a 19th Century Minton majolica spill vase fetching £1000 (lot 24), also two 19th Century Chinese specimen vases fetching £380 and £110 (lots 33 and 34) and an 18th Century cordial glass fetching £160 (lot 51).
The Works of Art included an early Japanese gold lacquered inro of five sections fetching £800 (lot 158C). The Sporting section caused a lot of interest with various collections and it fetched in excess of £10,000.
The Furniture section included a George III oak dresser base fetching £2500 (lot 506), a William IV mahogany pull-out extending dining table fetching £2200 (lot 476), an unusual George III triple drop-flap cricket table fetching £2000 (lot 507), a Queen Anne walnut chest of drawers fetched £1250 (lot 420), a set of eight 19th Century wheel and stick back Windsor chairs fetched £1000 (lot 505), a Victorian large three door bookcase made £1000 (lot 504), a good quality 19th Century mahogany linen press made £980 (lot 498), a Regency mahogany crossbanded large sofa table made £960 (lot 463) and a 19th Century boulle side cabinet made £700 (lot 422).
