The sale began with the Ceramics section, the highlights of which included a Clarice Cliff Bizarre appliqué pattern teapot with a fair amount of damage, which still fetched £660 (lot 53) and a 19th Century Meissen porcelain figure fetched £600 (lot 25). Also within the Ceramics a 19th Century Meissen porcelain group of Silenus on a Donkey made £820 (lot 30). The highlights of the Jewellery section included an 18ct gold amethyst and diamond cluster pendant fetching £1000 (lot 117). Also in the Silver and Jewellery section was a Victorian silver mounted presentation horse’s hoof which reached £600 (lot 150). Highlights of the Works of Arts section included a very interesting collection of photographs relating to Malcolm Campbell and with current interest in the Bluebird K4 it fetched £800 (lot 190). Highlights of the Militaria Section included an important medal group to Brigadier General E H Finch Hatton DSO which made £3900 (lot 287) and a good M.M and Bar group medal to the Somerset and Light Infantry reached £1650 (lot 317). Highlights of the Clocks and Barometers section included a fine quality Louis Phillipe mantel clock which sold for £700 (lot 358) Highlights of the Antique Furniture Section included a George II mahogany commode chest which fetched £1800 (lot 450), a Regency mahogany breakfront library bookcase made £1750 (lot 462), a 19th Century Italian carved walnut cabinet in the renaissance style sold for £1350 (lot 483), a Victorian burr walnut and marquetry inlaid games/work table made £1250 (lot 469), a fine late 19th Century satinwood and painted cabinet realised £1150 (lot 458), a Regency mahogany side cabinet fetched £1000 (lot 435), a 17th Century oak chest of drawers made £850 (lot 521), an 18th Century walnut chest on chest fetched £800 (lot 471) and a George II walnut chest fetched £600 (lot 547).
