March 2010 Auction Report
 

The March Sale included a Specialist Silver and Jewellery Sale which we hold regularly throughout the year. Included in that sale was an 18ct. white gold solitaire diamond ring, approximately 2.5cts., which made £2200 (Lot256), a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 18ct.gold and stainless steel gentleman’s wristwatch fetched £1700 (Lot168), another similar wristwatch with Rolex dial sold for £1600 (Lot 169), an 18ct.white gold solitaire diamond ring, approximately 1.04cts., brought £1400 (Lot 291), an 18ct.gold heavy curblink bracelet fetched £1350 (Lot 463) and an 18ct.white gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring made £1200 (Lot 302). The Hammer came down at  £820 for an extensive silver plated twelve-place setting canteen of cutlery by Mappin & Webb (Lot 21) and a Victorian silver five-piece tea service by Elkington & Co. fetched £800 (Lot 152).(shown below)


Other highlights of the sale included a 19th Century Meissen cabaret set which sold for £2100 (Lot 510), a William and Mary walnut cabinet on stand brought £1500 (Lot 986), a green oak large refectory style dining table attracted £1300 (Lot 906) and as shown below, a William IV mahogany wind-out extending dining table fetched £1150 (Lot 887).
