Highlights of the June Sale included a good collection of Chinese ivory okimono, proving the Chinese market is still very strong. A group of ten Chinese figures carved from coral, some with hardwood stands made £4000 (lot 330),  (304), a Chinese carved ivory figure in the form of a girl carrying a basket of flowers reached £1100 (lot 299), a pair of unusual Chinese carved ivory plaques in the form of books, each with scripts, achieved £950 (lot 306) and a 19th Century Chinese large oviform vase converted to a lamp made £2500 (lot 71).
 


Other highlights of the sale included John Opie, The Gregory Children, oil on canvas, which sold for £1800 (lot 159), a fine gold necklace, 67.4g, made £1250 (lot 250), a George III mahogany longcase clock realised £1200 (lot 366), a large single owner collection of Great Britain and Commonwealth stamps reached £1150 (lot 210), an unusual 19th Century continental carved metamorphic armchair made £1100 (lot 489), an 18ct white gold princess cut solitaire diamond ring, approx 1 ct, made £920 (lot 216), an 18th Century French kingwood serpentine commode sold for £880 (lot 548), Llewellyn Petley-Jones, Bull Fight at Arles, made £850 (lot 141), an early Victorian mahogany wind-out extending dining table made £800 (lot 477) and a George III mahogany secretaire made £720 (lot 551).
