Highlights of the specialists silver and jewellery sale in July included an Edwardian silver large monteith bowl which fetched £2400 (lot 149), a Victorian silver canteen of mixed cutlery weighing 97ozs which achieved £2000 (lot 224), a George V silver large rectangular tray realising £2000 (lot 60), a Victorian silver salver, London 1897, 90ozs, fetching £1625 (lot 190), an 18ct gold interwoven linked bracelet, 81g, which sold for £1450 (lot 295), an 18ct gold necklace, 59.8g, which made £1300 (lot 271), a George V silver large three handled cup selling for £1150 (lot 61), an Edwardian silver four piece tea service achieving £1100 (lot 220) a George V silver spirit kettle also making £1100 (lot 115) and a platinum solitaire diamond ring, approx 3.30ct, which fetched £5450 (Below; lot 314). Other highlights in the sale were a Dutch WINTER LANDSCAPE by Charles Henri Joseph Leickert (1818-1907), Netherlands, which fetched £5000 (lot 590), an early 19th Century Chinese hardwood altar table, inset with jade panels, realised £2500 (lot 860), a Tabriz pictorial rug made £2100 (lot 755), a pair of Royal Doulton stoneware vases by Hannah Barlow sold for £1500 (lot 541), a Regency camphor two part campaign chest made £1250 (lot 943), a set of seven 19th Century Chinese porcelain dishes fetched £1100 (lot 534) and a George IV mahogany twin pedestal partners desk made £1050 (Below, lot 903). |
