The sale began with the Ceramic section which included
a pair of Clarice Cliff Bizarre Fantasque small vases, despite
numerous chips, fetching £440 (lot 10). Of similar interest was a
Clarice Cliff crocus pattern lidded honey pot in good condition,
fetching £200 (lot 78), a good 18th Century Wedgwood part dinner
service fetching £1100 (lot 65), despite damage, and a Doulton Lambeth
large oviform vase, decorated by Hannah Barlow fetching £1700 (lot
88), a pair of 18th Century Chinese moon flasks fetching £720 (lot
118). The Pictures section included Terrick Williams, the Quite
Moon, oil on canvas fetching £1900 (lot 151) The Works of Art
section included a George III tortoiseshell tea caddy fetching £720
(lot 245), a 19th Century Swiss musical box fetching £560 (lot 289).
The Clocks and Barometers included a George III longcase clock,
inscribed Joshua Gibbs, fetching £1350 (lot 343), a Regency mahogany
drop dial wall clock fetching £620 (lot 344). The highlights of the
furniture section included a late 18th or early 19th Century
gilded wall mirror fetching £340 (lot 407), a good set of eight
Regency mahogany dining chairs fetching £1800 (lot 469), a late
Victorian oak settle fetching £480 (lot 498) and a good George III
mahogany circular tilt top table fetching £1250 (lot 520).
