The December sale commenced with a Ceramic section, to include a Chinese Kangxi dish fetching £500 (lot 94). The Jewellery section had its highlights with an 18ct gold three stone diamond ring fetching £1000 (lot 293) and a large gold heart shaped diamond encrusted pendant fetching £1500 (lot 250). The Works of Art section included some usual lots to include a large circa 1912 Skelton petrol pump fetching £300 (lot 357), a leopard skin rug with head fetching £220 (lot 387), a 19th Century Swiss rosewood musical box fetching £520 (lot 428) and a 19th Century walnut cased polyphon fetching £350 (lot 429). The Toys and Dolls section included two scale model locomotives by Bassett-Lowke each fetching £240 (lots 462 and 463), a Dinky Toy’s Joe 90 No 108 Sam’s car fetched £200 (lot 502) and a similar UFO Interceptor fetched £130 (lot 505). The Militaria, Medals and Coins included a good collection of Victorian truncheons which collectively made in excess of £600 (lots 533-542). Also included was a good WWI military medal group of five fetching £1650 (lot 567) and a mid-19th Century P53 Enfield fetching £360 (lot 550). The Coin section included a 1985 Isle of Man platinum Noble fetching £600 (lot 577) and an uncirculated gold five pound coin fetching £380 (lot 579). Clocks and Barometers included an Orrery timepiece by Devon Clocks fetching £520 (lot 590) and a 19th Century oak cased mantel clock fetching £600 (lot 600). The Furniture section included a good 18th Century French serpentine commode fetching £2400 (lot 701), a William IV mahogany Wellington wardrobe fetching £600 (lot 730), a late 17th or early 18th Century oak dresser base fetching £920 (lot 742), a Regency mahogany bow fronted commode fetching £640 (lot 766), an unusual Victorian mahogany and yew wood whatnot fetching £600, a pair of Victorian blackamoors fetching £1950 (lot 773), a Victorian mahogany rectangular twin pedestal dining table fetching £2600 (lot 775) and a 19th Century oak wardrobe fetching £600 (lot 793).
