The quarterly Collectors’ sale began with the Ceramics, its highlights being a Charles Vyse figure in the form of a flower seller fetching £1050 (lot 32). The Works of Art’ section included a large collection of sewing related items including a collection of tortoiseshell and mother-of-pearl card cases and related items, which fetched in excess of £4000. The Toys and Dolls included a large collection of Dinky and Corgi toys to include a Dinky Toys No 918 Guy Van fetching £220 (lot 393) and a Dinky Toys gift set No 4 racing cars fetching £200 (lot 388). The Militaria, Medals and Coins had its highlights including a framed, glazed display of 1920’s and 1930’s bullion and a marksmanship award fetching £780 (lot 454), a George V undated Military Cross, with associated pair, fetching £1000 (lot 467), an Officer’s Victorian silver cross belt plate fetching £190 (lot 479), a good German Third Reich Period Kreigsmarine dagger fetching £650 (lot 486) and a scarce German Weimar period naval dagger fetching £420 (lot 487) and a Japanese sword Katana, 19th Century or earlier, fetching £700 (lot 509). The Rugs section included a large North West Persian carpet fetching £1000 (lot 534). The Furniture section included a William IV mahogany library table fetching £700 (lot 626), a Victorian walnut games/work table fetching £700 (lot 624), a Victorian kingwood and ormolu mounted vitrine fetching £1400 (lot 628), a William IV mahogany partners library table fetching £1000 (lot 627), a large early 19th Century mahogany twin pedestal partners desk fetching £1000 (lot 630), an early 19th Century mahogany campaign twin pedestal desk fetching £920 (lot 650) and an 18th Century walnut chest on stand fetching £1550 (lot 693)
