The highlight of the April sale was a Regency rosewood and brass inlaid breakfront large side cabinet with integral drawers which fetched £10,000 (lot 652).
Other highlights included a rare Moorcroft vase with fish pattern which made £2600 (lot 42), a George III mahogany cased bracket clock with local interest and inscribed ‘H Brown, Havant’ sold for £2000 (lot 512), an unusual late Victorian oak hall stand, possibly by Schoolbred, made £1850 (lot 727), a large extending dining room table by Waring & Gillow fetched £1800 (lot 715), a Rolex oyster perpetual date chronometer lady’s wristwatch fetched £1800 (lot 225), a large rectangular silver presentation tray, 72 ounces, made £1470 (lot 177), a George III oak dresser sold for £1400 (lot 743) and a George I walnut chest on chest fetched £1050 (lot 703). Other items of interest included a 20 dollar gold coin which fetched £860 (lot 230), a large London silver rectangular silver cigar box made £820 (lot 359) and a Queen Anne walnut escritoire made £720 (lot 711)
